The Word Alive
Over the past couple of years, The Word Alive has gained a global reputation for pushing the boundaries within their genre. But with new sophomore full-length 'Life Cycles', the Arizona quintet is set to join an elite club of heavy music luminaries ushering in the next evolution of melodic metal. Exploring themes of both personal and musical development, the album marks the moment when The Word Alive took destiny firmly by the reins, determined to eclipse their past accomplishments. The follow-up to acclaimed album 'Deceiver', the group enlisted red-hot metal producer Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men), reaching a new level of musical complexity and composition. Continuing their worldwide attack, the band kicked off the campaign for 'Life Cycles' with a U .S. tour with Attack Attack!, before they tear across Europe, and into a full summer on The All Stars Tour. With a new album packed as solid as their tour schedule, The Word Alive are ready to storm into a bright future.
Eyes To The Sun
Eyes to the Sun is a metalcore band from Richmond, Virginia.
Eyes to the Sun tattoos our sound with our own age-old influences - a sound that blends the anguish and passion of UnEarth and KillSwitch Engage, with the driving crush of Hatebreed and Black Dahlia Murder.
Formed in 2010, Eyes to the Sun is Scot Long (Guitar, Vocals), Garrett Grubbs (Bass, Vocals), and Jason Brown (Drums), who amongst them have a combined 60 years of bringing metal to stages in the Richmond area and beyond. In fact, the current Eyes to the Sun lineup was reformed from a prior project, Thousand Yard Stare, which performed around Central Virginia for a few years before its sunset in 2009. However, you’ve also seen these RVA metal veterans take the stage with many acts over the years: Undone, Permanence, Preshus, and Fifteen Minutes of Shame - just to name a few.
Eyes to the Sun has been a working project for a few years, but now, with a solid lineup that creates the sound we want to hear, we want to bring that sound back out to the people. Look for us at stage near you in the Spring of 2016 Richmond!
