We Call This Courage
It all started when it all ended. None of us were playing music with anybody. All of our previous bands had been dead for quite some time. We were tired of not playing the pop punk that we love. One of the most difficult things about being a musician is not having a place to play, or a band to play with. We decided to finally put an end to that.
In August of 2012 we all met for dinner at a local restaurant. Some of us knew each other, some of us didn't. But quickly we began to meet on a regular basis, and began to pound out some original music. Within 4 months we had our first show, sharing the Canal Club stage with band like Conditions, Every Avenue, and Your Favorite Coastline. Then, a month later we were priveleged enough to share the stage with the talented Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche, and Geoff Rickly of Thursday on the Vans Acoustic Basement Tour.
With plans to record and release a full length CD Summer 2013, We Call This Courage shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Come check out a show and see why Richmond is falling in love with pop punk once again.
